The Redstone Cabin adapted and expanded upon a prefabricated design to create a unique and functional home for its occupants.

The Prefabricated Cabin design by The Backcountry Hut Company (BHC) offered an efficient structure for the main living space that was then adapted to the clients’ particular needs. Cover worked with the client to increase the interior functionality of the Cabin for full-time living and to curate the interior design. An additional structure was designed by Cover for an office, guest wing, and garage; the design plays with the juxtaposition of the two opposing forms. Located on a steep site, the buildings are tucked into the hillside, increasing privacy for the occupants and capitalizing on the beautiful views.

This project was very much a collaboration with the client who brought an open-mind and their own unique ideas to the table.
