Wild North Brewing

Wild North Brewing

  • Location — Creston, BC
  • Completion — 2021

Wild North Brewing is an adaptive reuse project utilizing the greyhound bus depot in Creston BC. The depot is a simple modernist building, constructed in the ’60’s. It had been empty for a number of years until purchased by Wild North Brewing. Cover Architecture worked with the client to adapt the building to include a brewing facility and tasting room. The prominent overhang on the front façade was utilized to create a curving “standing wave” using tongue  and groove wood cladding. The use of wood was continued in the interior, largely designed by the owner. The end result is a contemporary building that makes excellent use of an existing structure. Wild North Brewing has been a welcomed addition to the downtown core of Creston.
